Alhamdulillah, by the Grace of Allah (SWT) the construction work of the extension begun in April 2009 and is progressing very well. This has been as a result of tremendous effort by the whole community to raise the funds necessary for the project.

The foundations have been completed, followed by the external walls rising up to main prayer hall level, as can be seen in the pictures below.

Next stage is the construction of the ceiling for basement and floor to join the Ground Floor, followed by external walls to join up with the main prayer hall. The work is due to be completed by the end of November Insha'Allah.

Alhamdulilah by the grace of Allah (SWT) we have collected around £225,000 from our community. Work to date has resulted in expenditure of £120,000, but the projected cost is likely to be around £450,000. Therefore we still need to raise substantial amount to meet the shortfall.

To participate in this very worthy cause donations can be made in the following way:

• on this website,  or
• during collections at the Masjid
• Hand in cheques/Cash to one the volunteer brothers( Nurul Alam, Haroon Rashid, Shehu Suleiman, Alam Rashid, Amjad Khan or Faisal Habib)  in the Masjid.
• Make regular donation by filling in one of the Direct Debit Forms

Although we prefer cash or cheques, brothers and sisters in the past have donated valuable watches and jewellery items, which we been able to liquidate and put towards the extension.

For information some brothers have generously donated in the region of £50,000, £10,000, £2,000 and other denominations.  Whatever amount you donate we'll Inshal'Allah be able to put to good use in the extension project and is most welcome.
