VAA Award

Muslim Youth Skills (www.muslimyouthskils.co.uk) have recently developed a tool for engaging and empowering Muslim youth volunteers within the UK. This is called the Volunteer Achievement Award (VAA). The VAA has the following benefits:

  • Quality framework which seeks to reward the volunteer
  • Endorsed by 11 International Muslim Relief organisations including Interpal, Human Relief, Muslim Hands to name a few
  • Develops soft outcomes and enhances soft skills
  • It is FREE
  • Rewards the volunteer with a BRONZE, SILVER AND GOLD award
  • Retains the volunteer through the reward and a process of engagement and empowerment
  • Sustains the volunteer by having a 1:1 learning mentor available to guide and nurture all within an Islamic environment
  • The volunteer can showcase their achievements on the first Muslim Regional Social Networking website ‘connect online’ - www.connectonline.org
