VAA Award
Muslim Youth Skills (www.muslimyouthskils.co.uk) have recently developed a tool for engaging and empowering Muslim youth volunteers within the UK. This is called the Volunteer Achievement Award (VAA). The VAA has the following benefits:
- Quality framework which seeks to reward the volunteer
- Endorsed by 11 International Muslim Relief organisations including Interpal, Human Relief, Muslim Hands to name a few
- Develops soft outcomes and enhances soft skills
- It is FREE
- Rewards the volunteer with a BRONZE, SILVER AND GOLD award
- Retains the volunteer through the reward and a process of engagement and empowerment
- Sustains the volunteer by having a 1:1 learning mentor available to guide and nurture all within an Islamic environment
- The volunteer can showcase their achievements on the first Muslim Regional Social Networking website ‘connect online’ - www.connectonline.org
